About

Welcome to a life homemade. I'm christina, a young farmer and foodmaker, and now, a blogger.

I am on a life quest to dig deep into our cultural roots as humans and unearth lost skills of the past, fusing them with the tools of the present. Much of what we consume today is made as a convenience for us, tearing our connection with the materials, people, and process of how products (food and otherwise) are made. Learning the skills that our grandparents knew can reconnect us to the land, which provides everything we know and love. Not only does this process empower me to become more self-sufficient, but it is incredibly fulfilling and fun. Doesn't tapping a maple tree for syrup sound like the most exciting thing ever? Maybe that one is just my little daydream, but you get what I'm saying.

So here at Life. Homemade., I offer you delicious, nutritious, and unique recipes for the most fulfilling food experiences. Most of the recipes are based on what I have on hand from the farm or garden, and are made best with the freshest of ingredients. The recipes are somewhat freeform and provide guidelines to measurements and provides ample room for experimentation. I hope you expand upon them and share them with those you love. Because good food should be shared, and good food should be loved. Join my journey for simply delicious, yet culturally empowering food experiences.
